Hideo Kojima
Hideo Kojima born in August 24th, 1963 in Setagaya, Toyko, is a Japanese video game designer at Konami Entertainment. In 1981 Kojima introduce Metal Gear, which was one of the first games in which uses stealth over direct confrontation. During the early 1990's Kojima worked on other games which have become instant classics such as Snatcher, Policenauts for the PC, 3D0, Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation, along with some various other work with two Tokimeki Memorial Drama Series games in 1997 and 1998, including a sequel to Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
IN 1998 Kojima released Metal Gear Solid for the playstation which became a major hit making him an international celebrity among video gamers. Metal Gear Solid was the first in the Metal Gear series to use 3D graphics and voice acting, which gave a more cinematic experience to the game. MGS was highly regarded for its well-designed gameplay and for its characters and storyline, which featured themes of nuclear proliferation and genetic engineering.
On April 1, 2005 Hideo Kojima form Kojima Productions. With this new team, Kojima is no longer burdened with the business management and administrative responsibilities thus able him to focus solely on creating games. Kojima will be releasing the fourth Metal Gear installment on the PS3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
